Help Teach Logan Middle School Students Valuable Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Skills with a New 3D PrinterOutdated. Unreliable. Finicky. That's how a School Resource Officer (SRO) describes the current machine used by the Technical Education teachers. 3D printers teach students how to their programming creates real products as the machine melts multi-colored plastic wire into beads that cool and can be layered into 3d objects such as keychains, trophies, gears, signs, and more. CAD programming is used in architecture, engineering, and manufacturing -- great skills for the students futures. A low-end model is $650 (on sale now). A high end is $3200. The high-end model allows for more pieces produced, larger pieces, multiple materials and colors, and higher temperatures . It can be added onto for laser cutting/engraving, blade cutting, pen-drawing, and more by the machine. |
